Hi! I just found your blog and I love it! I am a 23 year old soon-to-be college grad and I am hoping to move to Mexico sometime next year. I completed a study abroad trip in Xalapa this past summer where I took classes, volunteered, stayed with a local family and did some traveling on my own- I had a blast and fell in love with everything and everybody! I was just wondering if you have any advice for me regarding moving to Mexico, finding a job or internship, marrying a Mexican (lol but seriously..), etc. I got my first tattoo while in Xalapa and I totally fell in love with the artist- I STILL think about him and plan on going back to him for another tattoo and maybe a date, hehehe.. I just figured this was something you could relate to. Maybe you even know him? Anyway, I will have my degree in May for anthropology (specifically Latin American studies) and Spanish and I really would like to lay down some roots in Mexico. Any advice, info, funny stories would be much appreciated! Please email me at gala.dali@ymail.com, I couldn't find an email address to personally contact you at so please don't publish this comment to your blog! :) Oh yeah, my name is Mollie and I'm from Detroit! Much love!

About Me

My photo
I've been living in Mexico now for about a two years with my hubby and 2 kids. Not exactly by choice, but we're here nonetheless. Luckily, I live with quite a few of the accomodations that i was used to in the states. In spite of those convienences, we also have a water tank with asbestos, outdated electricity, massive amounts of dust, caterpillars that burn your skin, and thousands of windshield washers on every street corner. My kiddos and I are learning to speak spanish and adjust to life away from our family and friends in the States.
